About Podeum

Hi, I’m David, and Podeum is a project that started with one question I couldn’t shake: What if Apple designed a pulpit?  

As a designer living in Palo Alto, I’ve always noticed pulpits — and I’ve always felt they could be better. More thoughtful. More beautiful. So I set out to create one myself.  

Podeum is a one-person studio, and every part of this product — from the first sketch to the final finish; including all graphics and video design, web creation, branding, etc.. — is something I’ve personally touched, or have direct hands on supervision when working with my fabricators and finishers.  I obsess over details and care deeply about form, function, timeless beauty and making things that last.  

This isn’t mass-produced furniture. Podeum is intentionally made, with precision and heart, for spaces that value design. More than just furniture — it’s a statement piece for modern churches, institutions, and spaces that care about design.
